Ottawa, ON – The Mark Motors Racing Team is entering the Victoria Day Speedfest with ambition and determination. Zach Robichon, Roman De Angelis, and alumni driver Perry Bortolotti will be representing Mark Motors on May 19 and May 20 in Bowmanville, Ontario at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. They are looking to keep the team in high standings for the season through friendly competition and support.

“I really am looking forward to competing against my teammate Zach and feel the two of us will be battling all year long and pushing ourselves to the limit,” said De Angelis, Platinum class driver. “My goal this year and main focus is to try and secure both the Canadian Championship as well as the American series championship and I know it’s going to be very difficult as there are great drivers on both sides of the border.”

Teammate Robichon has a similar ambitious outlook about the season. “Mark Motors Racing and myself have been working hard to continue our momentum from the opening rounds at Sebring,” said Robichon, who won the first two races of the season in his class and is the current lead for the Platinum title. “We’re back on familiar ground at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, and Roman and myself will look to keep the team at the top of the standings this weekend.”

Guest driver Perry Bortolotti, who was one of the original drivers of this series back in 2011 will be joining the team this year at select races and is matching the excitement of his fellow drivers. “I am very excited to be back with the Mark Motors Racing Team and the Mrak family this race weekend. The team has two outstanding, young, talented drivers and I could not be happier to have them as my teammates. The Victoria Day race weekend is an iconic event on the Canadian race calendar and it is exciting to be a part of it again.”

“Racing has always been a part of our home life. Whether we watched it on TV, participated in a series or attended a variety of them at different destinations around the world. Racing is part of our brand and we are proud to have our own today with such young, inspiring talented drivers. It is an exciting place to me! The weekend is filled with positive team spirit, crowds of people who cheer our team and drivers on and not to mention, the ongoing relationships we build and foster with others who share the same love for racing and business….we are lucky and look forward to the weekend!” says Liza Mrak, co-owner of the Mark Motors Group.

The races will take place on Saturday, May 19th at 3:05 p.m. EST and Sunday, May 20th at 11:20 a.m. EST. Both races will be streamed live, and can be found here. For tickets, schedules, and event information please visit here.
