Trois-Rivières, Quebec – After a month long break since the last Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama, the Mark Motors Racing team is preparing to continue their winning reputation at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. The GP3R is another race based on city streets which adds an additional challenge for the team, but that doesn’t scare them!

For driver Zach Robichon, this race weekend provides him with a chance to overtake driver Scott Hargrove for the top spot before the season comes to a close next month. At the Honda Indy, Robichon showed just how determined he is to win with lap times just milliseconds slower than leader Hargrove. “We’re coming from one street track to the next” said Robichon. “We proved that we have the pace with the race lap record at the Indy and we’ll be looking to continue that momentum this weekend at GP3R. Scott and I have been battling all season and I expect a strong showing from him and the rest of the competitors once again. Let’s get racing!”

With 5 wins this season in Platinum Masters, driver Marco Cirone credits much of his success to the Bestline Autotech crew, as he says “the team is a major factor [in my championship lead] by always finding the right setup for each track.” Cirone is looking to continue with his fantastic season this weekend in Trois-Rivières. “It’s a great feeling heading into Trois Rivières with a good lead in the championship” said Marco. “I’m very much looking forward to continuing our winning ways in Quebec in front of such enthusiastic and knowledgeable fans! That is truly what makes Trois Rivières so special.”

After what he called a “mixed bag” race weekend in Toronto last month, driver Roman De Angelis is anxious to step onto the track in Trois-Rivières. With a 2nd place finish in Gold class at the Honda Indy breaking his consecutive winning streak, De Angelis is determined to work his hardest to ensure he finishes out the remainder of the season in the top spot.

The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will race twice during this weekend, on the streets of Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Race 1 will start at 2:55 PM EST Saturday, August 12th and Race 2 will start precisely at 10:00 AM EST on Sunday, August 13th. Both can be viewed live via streaming on imsa.com
