Montreal, QC – One of the most exciting race weekends in Canada is almost upon us! The Mark Motors Racing team is ready to show off their new cars to the thousands of attendees over the course of three days at this week’s Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama. Driver Zach Robichon is especially anxious for the weekend to commence, as he had an eventful two days at this race last year.
At the 2016 Formula1 race weekend, Robichon finished his first race 3rd on the podium. The next day however, a combination of rain and contact with another driver resulted in a drive-through penalty for Zach, costing him his 2nd place overall position.
“Last year we left Montreal with one podium and a lot of unfinished business. I’ll be looking to take what I learnt last year at this track and use them to fight for the top step come race day” said Robichon.
With the experience under his belt and the past behind him, Robichon is ready to walk onto the track with the focus and determination that will earn him his name at the top of the scoreboard. Watch out for car #98!
When asked about the upcoming weekend, Zach replied “Montreal really is a weekend like no other, with hundreds of thousands of fans it brings up the excitement in a way I can’t even explain. We have been working hard to improve the car with the lessons we learnt in rounds 1 and 2 and we’ll be looking to continue improving the new 2017 Cup car to extract the best out of it and keep our momentum from CTMP”
Robichon will race twice this weekend at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. Race 1 will start at 5:00 PM EST Saturday, June 10th and Race 2 will start at 10:40 AM EST on Sunday, June 11th. Both can be viewed live via streaming on imsa.com
