Toronto, ON – The Mark Motors Racing team sits atop the standings of the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama as it heads into the Honda Indy Toronto on July 13th – 15th,. Zach Robichon and Roman De Angelis are looking to hold onto their lead coming off of successful races in Montreal and Bowmanville earlier this season. “It’s good to be back in the streets of Toronto” said Roman De Angelis. “Like the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, it feels like a home track race since there will be lots of friends and family there to support. I look forward to continuing to battle with Zach. We have been working really well together and pushing one another at every race.”

Excitement is high among the Mark Motors team as it looks to secure its fifth consecutive podium finish in the 1 + 2 position. Alumni Driver Perry Bortolotti also seeks to maintain his dominance of the Masters Race, building on the momentum from Montreal’s Formula One Canadian Grand Prix weekend. “I’m looking forward to get back to racing the iconic Toronto Indy street race in my Mark Motors Masters Platinum car this weekend” said Bortolotti, “It has been several years since I last raced there. In the past I have had great success on these types of bumpy road courses so my expectations are high for a podium finish – hopefully on the top step.”

This season has been defined by intense, friendly competition between the Mark Motors drivers as they push one another to constantly improve. Once again, all eyes will be on the Mark Motors cars on the 1.75 mile track at Toronto’s waterfront to watch the excitement unfold.  “There’s really no place like racing in Toronto” said driver Zach Robichon. “It’s an amazing feeling to be racing in a city centre and the technical nature of the track usually makes for some exciting races throughout the weekend. We’ve had an amazing season so far and we’ll be fighting hard to keep the momentum going for Mark Motors.”

Liza Mrak, Executive Vice President of Mark Motors Group, is thrilled with the performance: “We are proud of the performance of all three of our Mark Motors Porsche drivers over the course of this season and are excited for our team to be back on the track in Toronto this weekend.”

Qualifiers begin at 9:20 am on Saturday, July 14th with race one starting at 5:00pm. Race two will start at precisely 1:40 pm on Sunday, July 15th.
