Sebring, Florida (March 15, 2018) – After a long winter, driver Zach Robichon of Mark Motors Racing is ready to race for the Platinum Cup in the 2018 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama here in Sebring, Florida. Robichon has been eagerly awaiting this moment since the close of the 2017 season in Bomanville, Ontario where he took home the title of Platinum Runner-Up.
Zach Robichon was on everyone’s radar last season with two overall race wins and repeatedly maintaining a close 2nd place to last year’s Platinum Cup Champion Scott Hargrove. This year Zach knows what he’ll do differently and is excited to apply his past two seasons of experiences to capture the Championship title for 2018.
Today’s race will be the first time Robichon has ever competed here at the Sebring International Raceway. He recognizes this as an obstacle he’ll need to overcome, but Zach is heading into this first race with a positive attitude and excitement for a brand new season!
“It feels like forever since we’ve been racing” said Robichon. “I’m so excited to finally be back at the race track and get the 2018 season rolling. This will definitely be a challenge for me as it is my very first time here in Sebring but I’m relishing the opportunity to represent Mark Motors for another season.”
The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will race twice this week at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida. Race 1 will start at 4:15 PM EST Thursday, March 15th. Race 2 will start at 11:15 AM EST on Friday, March 16th. Both can be viewed live via streaming on imsa.com
