July 2, 2015 – This weekend Mark Motors Racing drivers Marco Cirone and Harry Steenbakkers head to Calabogie Motorsports Park for the 2015 Calabogie Grand Prix, where they plan on dominating Race Five and Six of the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada series. Teammates Cirone and Steenbakkers have not only showcased strong performances in the series so far, but their unique connection to Calabogie Motorsports Park positions this duo as a force to be recon with on the track.

Although 17-year old Steenbakkers may not have many years under his belt, he is without a doubt a Calabogie Motorsports Park veteran. “Calabogie is my home track. It’s the place where I discovered my passion for racing, and I cannot wait to compete at the track that started my racing journey,” said Steenbakkers. “I am more than ready to show the racing world what I am made of at Calabogie!”

Cirone also holds a longstanding history with Calabogie, most notably earning his sixth Platinum Masters victory and his second consecutive title in the class in the 2014 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada. “Coming off of the events at Honda Indy Toronto, I am more excited than ever to head to Calabogie,” said Cirone. “I am so thankful that Mark Motors allows me to continue to perform on some of the most sought after tracks in the country. I will be giving it my all!”

The Calabogie Grand Prix is a celebration of motorsports in Canada, and features a combination of intense wheel-to-wheel racing in several classes including the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin Series, which is the fastest-growing single-make series in North America, the 944 Challenge Canada, and the Formula Libre Challenge.

Despite the unfavourable weather conditions at Honda Indy Toronto, both Cirone and Steenbakkers showcased consistent performances in Race Four of the series, and maintained their positions throughout the race. Cirone finished fourth overall, and Steenbakkers finished in fifth position. Mark Motors Racing Team is heading to the Calabogie Grand Prix in third place and is prepared for battle. This is one race weekend you won’t want to miss!
