Bowmanville, Ontario – This past weekend, Mark Motors Racing competed in the final two rounds of the 2015 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Round 9 begun with intense duels causing many incidents, leaving only 15 minutes for Green Flag racing. During those 15 minutes, Marco fought to hold his P3 position against Chris Green, while Harry battled for P5 against Tim Sanderson. With only 6 minutes left, Harry made contact with Tim in T3, causing Tim to hit the tire wall. Harry was penalized one lap, and would be starting in the pits for Round 10. Marco finished in third overall while Harry finished in 9th due to the penalty.

Marco earned his seventh Platinum Masters victory in nine starts this season. He kept a steady gap over Sanderson while trying to gain ground on Daniel Morad who was second overall in the race. “I was starting to creep up on Daniel, but obviously not a lot of time left,” Cirone said.

Round 10 was a new day with many challenges up ahead for the Mark Motors Racing team. Marco had intense duels in T5 for P3. The top four drivers were separated by less than four-tenths of a second in the beginning of the race but evened out throughout the 45 minutes race. On the other hand, with Harry starting in the pits for contact with Tim in the Round 9 race, he had a lot of catching up to do. Although he was the last to start the race, Harry made his way up the track, passing through the grid trying to catch Tim Sanderson for P5. Marco placed 4th while Harry placed 6th overall in race 10. “Though I started in the pits, I just stayed focused and raced my best to pass by the other drivers. There just wasn’t enough time to catch up to Tim but I tried”, Harry said.

Marco won the 2015 Platinum Masters championship for the third consecutive season! He beat Tim Sanderson to the crown, 196-180. “I’m so happy,” Cirone said. “This is our third in a row, and I can’t thank my team, Mark Motors Racing, enough. They always give me a great car to drive.”

That’s a wrap for this season! Mark Motors Racing would like to thank Marco and Harry for their dedication to the team as well as the amazing pit crews for their hard work.
