Sebring, Florida –Driver Marco Cirone, originally thought to be hanging up his helmet this season, has announced that he will be joining the Mark Motors Racing team here in Sebring for the 2018 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama.
Cirone has had an excellent racing career, and looks to continue his legacy at the start of the Porsche GT3 Cup season in Sebring this week.
“What a great thrill to be able to race at Sebring again” said Cirone. “I’m looking forward to jumping back in the Mark Motors 88 car and competing at one of my favourite tracks. It will be extra exciting as this race is combined with the US series, so the competition will be very tough. I’m also looking forward to racing with my teammates Zach and Roman once again. It’s always great fun with those two. We learn a lot and definitely laugh a lot.”
The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will race twice this week at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida. Race 1 will start at 4:15 PM EST Thursday, March 15th. Race 2 will start at 11:15 AM EST on Friday, March 16th. Both can be viewed live via streaming on imsa.com
