Trois-Rivieres, Quebec – During the long weekend, Mark Motors Racing battled it out during Rounds 7 & 8 of the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres.
It was a challenging weekend for the Mark Motors Racing team with it being Harry’s first time ever racing on the Trois-Rivieres track. Harry went into the runoff in Turn 6 of Round 7 but managed to get back into the race, making his way up to a 7th place finish. Marco had an intense battle with Borgeat, making contact a few times. He had 4 tires off the track in Turn 8, but had a successful recovery and finished in 5th place.
In the Platinum Masters race, Marco earned his sixth victory in seven starts this season. During the first half of the race, Borgeat posed much pressure but Marco was able to pass in front of him and leave a small gap ahead of Sanderson.
Round 8 was a better day for Harry Steenbakkers. He held the sixth position for most of the race but managed to pull through and round up the top 5 positions with a fifth place finish. Marco battled it out yet again with Borgeat. Even after spinning out in Turn 1, Marco charged on and still placed 7th.
With being brushed twice against the concrete wall, the steering of Marco’s car was out of alignment, resulting in the spin of Turn 1. He finished second in the Platinum Masters race but still holds first place in the Masters Class rankings.
