Hard to believe the final the race weekend of 2019 is already upon us. It’s been quite the season for Mark Motors Racing and only fitting that the team has the opportunity to claim their second-straight Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada Championship close to home in scenic Mont-Tremblant.

With Destination Porsche descending on the quaint Quebec town, Tremblant will be transformed into a car lover’s dream over the three-day event. From motor sports to classic restoration cars, there will be something for everyone.

For Mark Motors Racing, Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant will be where it’s at. The challenging course will present twists and turns for the team as they vie for victories on Saturday and Sunday.

GT3 Cup Challenge Canada leader Roman De Angelis has a chance to win 11 of 12 races in 2019. If the young driver accomplishes the feat, it will be an astounding end to the series. Safe to say De Angelis is ready to get on the track in Tremblant.

“I’m extremely excited, not only to close out my third season with Mark Motors Racing on a high, but also to get back to one of my all-time favourite tracks in a car that suits it so well,” expressed De Angelis.

Seasoned teammates Marco Cirone and Perry Bortolotti will also be competing hard this weekend as the duo have plenty to strive for.

Cirone leads the Platinum Masters pack by a comfortable 28 points, but knows he needs to drive a clean, consistent race.

“We will have to be very strategic this weekend as we’ll want to protect our lead in the Platinum Master Championship,” explains Cirone.

“Being cautious and staying out of trouble, while still being very competitive is key. Our focus is the championship and that will be priority.”

Currently sitting in fifth spot in those same Platinum Master standings, Perry Bortolotti can move up to third with a good showing at Le Circuit. A special relationship resides between Perry and Mont-Tremblant. This was the first track Perry drove a Porsche on almost 20 years ago and can be heralded as having fueled his passion for racing the iconic cars.

“Looking forward to getting back to Le Circuit. It is one of my favorite racetracks with a long history of famous races. It has a little bit of all the attributes of a great racetrack, elevation changes, high speed corners, and technically sound,” describes Bortolotti.

“I’ve had some great success at Tremblant over the years and hope for the same this weekend.”
